Holland & Barrett is the specialist in natural health and wellness. With their own sunscreen from De Tuinen, they have chosen to use the Smeerkees Sunscreen Poles for a unique form of product sampling. At prime locations where the target audience gathers, the product is offered to the public in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way. The QR codes on the poles also provide additional information about the product, points of sale, and a contest. This increases brand awareness and makes a valuable contribution to the importance of sun protection.
The municipality of Tilburg values the health of its residents highly. Especially in the summer, many residents forget to apply sunscreen, or simply don’t have the financial means to purchase it. Therefore, at carefully selected locations, the municipality of Tilburg has deployed our Smeerkees Sunscreen Poles to create a sun-safe environment, which can also be seen as a unique form of urban marketing.
Together with health insurer Zilveren Kruis, we have launched an impactful campaign in the fight against skin cancer with Smeerkees for the second consecutive year. The poles have been strategically placed at 60 locations and during 165 festival days throughout the entire summer. In total, we have provided 850,000 applications. A fantastic marketing campaign with both social and measurable impact.
Together with the GGD Hollands-Noorden and the surrounding municipalities, and with support from the KWF and the Huidfonds, we have taken an important step in the fight against skin cancer. In total, 11 sunscreen poles have been placed at strategic locations within the region, such as busy parks, coastal areas, recreational spots, and sports facilities. With these poles, residents and visitors can apply sunscreen for free and protect themselves from the harmful effects of UV radiation. The goal of this collaboration is to make sun protection accessible to everyone, regardless of location or financial means. This campaign contributes to raising awareness about the dangers of unprotected sun exposure and strengthens the GGD’s efforts towards a healthy and safe living environment.
